If you like getting a lot of comments on your work then it is a very good way of achieving statistics. However, one good critical coment is worth more than ten "ooo nice" comments (which were given in "reply") in my book. I ignore the member name on the image when i browse the galleries and expect nothing in return. If what i post is worthy of comment then people will comment. The moment someone coments because they feel they have to is the moment my work stops atracting people because of purely the artistic merit the photo has...
