If the Poser file is compressed (ends with 'z'), you can use WinZip or Poser to extract it back to a text file before opening in a text editor. :)
Why does noone use DirectoryOpus (on Windows anyway)? This was the best file manager of any OS (period) back when it was AmigaOS only. It has been available for Windows for some time. I don't know of any file manager as good as it for Windows.
There are quite a few nice features and it can be used at novice level or super-geek-advanced-control-every-detail level - unlike Explorer and Finder which offer several options for the uninitiated. It has a search feature far more powerful than Exploder (not only file names but within files and zips) and can show multiple listings at a time (extremely nice for copy-pasting files around). I've been personally b&m'ing to GPSoftware for a port to MacOS so that I can finally be rid of F(loun)der. I'd pay $200 to replace it with DirOpus! ;)
Just to be fair, my one dig with DirOpus is that when you remove a CD/DVD it tends to reset any open file hierarchies. I just try to remember to close DirOpus before ejecting the discs!
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.
