When was the last time you did a defrag?  You might want to do one.  Also check for Adware using the free download at this link:

Also do a virus scan with an up-to-date virus scanner. Don't use Norton's or McCaffey, they are terrible.

I also recommend downloading the free cc cleaner and running it on a daily basis.
