Subject: Reflection problem in Poser 7.

Hey that's a standard problem with things that were not made for Poser, and even some that were. Almost every car I download from that french car site does that.

Many props have complicated, twisted 4-sided polygons, meaning they form a saddle shape. Poser doesn't render those correctly with reflections.

Then too, there are reversed normals that cause issues. Clicking Normals_Forward can help with that.

Some solutions can be found by messing with the Ray Bias in the Reflect node. Increasing the bias will sometimes make it stop getting confused. However, increase too much, and the reflection ray doesn't hit nearby things.


Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
