Sorry to hear you're having those kinds of issues. Everything is running smooth for me on this system. When goofy things happen like that, resetting the preferences is typically a good thing to do. (Pull down menu, File => Reset Preferences). Also, if you have any Shader or Carrara 3rd party extensions and haven't updated those to C6 versions, they will also create problems.
