Vue is a landscape generator and renderer.
Pros of Vue:
- much faster raytraced renderer, better render quality possible;
- liquids and metals render far better than in Poser;
- great handling of plants, trees and rocks;
- in the Infinite version: ecosystems ("crowds" of objects, with individual variations if the objects are plants or rocks)
- in the Infinite version: full 64 bit (can render scenes wiith enormous complexity without a hitch).
- easy import of Poser scenes, either animations or stills;
- supports Poser dynamic hair and cloth;
- and much, much more.
Cons of Vue:
- precise placement of objects is harder to do than in Poser;
- no polygon subdivision (except in Infinite, and that doesn't work as well as polygon smoothing in Poser)
- displacement is still somewhat flaky and can be extremely RAM hungry.
