Hi all
For a short time, I have uploaded the first chapter of the Bryce/Carrara movie to youtube.  The character animation was done in Carrara (using mimic for the mouth sinc) and the rest is bryce in this chapter.

It was rendered in layers and assembled in After Effects where special effects (such as the blowing sand on the planet) was added.

Pretty cool Brycetech - impressive - using the real footage and the 3d, did you use a blue/ green screen?

Good stuff. Wish I had the patience for that level of work.

patience..ahh, that which bryce teaches (cause its so da** slow!)..heh
its much better on a multi-core computer.  but, yes...the whole process takes a lot of time and dedication (and imagination).  Even Carrara put up a fight with this one (since it crashes on every friggin animation render in version 6)

Its fun, and most definately worth it in the end...but, yep an exercise in patience.

:)
tnx

I usually dread looking at these things, for fear that they used the poser renderer and poser zombies, but this one was pretty good IMVHO. I muted the soundtrack, but I can appreciate the effort involved in lighting and compositing the middle-aged man.
