If you want to do clothes and play nice with poser then i wouldnt go with rhino. Its export to .obj is rather lacking and its hard to control polygon topology..

I dont know what c4d is going for these days but with that you get nurbs and polygon modelling. along with a great render engine.

lightwave is an option as well but I think its learning curve is a bit steeper than c4d's.
