I'm sure I posted this here somewhere before Fran but here's a variation of S.O.W. I've worked on when having nothing better to do with myself.

Actually each S.O.W. is two spheres one inside the other. The outer one is slightly larger than the inner one and of different material. Then using the design as opacity map to expose the characteristics of the inner sphere. One can come up with some interesting designs. Been thinking of using fractals for the outer design to give a bejeweled effect.
