Subject: Any news on WW2 ???

dstephany ( ) posted Wed, 12 December 2007 at 7:19 PM · edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 2:30 AM

No...I don't mean World War 2. :) I'm talking about Wardrobe Wizard 2.0. In particular, I'm interested in converting clothes from Victoria to fit Laura. Does anyone know if there would be any advantage to upgrading to version 2 ???

Phil lists the enhanced features of  WW2 on his site.

Yes! And the update to WW2 will be released soon too, ...VERY soon. -^ WW 2.14 has even MORE improved features you will love which are based on all the feedback from the users of the new WW2. The list of supported figures has also grown since WW2's November release! ^^ You can get a sneak peek at the improvement at PhilC's. ^^ bB

I want to second all that has been said. It is worth the upgrade just to be
able to transfer FBM.
It is a great improvement over WW1

In addition to all the added features, it is also much easier to use. Upgrade hile the additional figure packages are still free.

Not just adding FMB's to figures but the smoothing opitions for both material and full article. This helped me allot when I mad this promo image for PhilC. This is the Kiss business free dress converted to V4

Well I appreciate all the great feedback and I'm sure WW2 is a great product. I was very impressed with all the great feature sets the first version gave us, however my concern really was regarding the conversion from a larger figure to a smaller one (i.e. adult to child).

As I recall from before it was always difficult making this conversion and even after it was done the fit was never quite perfect. I know in conversations I had with Phil, he suggested the use of magnets to adjust scaling. So this was an area I was hoping might be addressed in this new version. Thanks again for all your responses!

Funny, don't remember reading anything about this in the local paper.  :)

WW2 does do an excellent job at adult to child refitting. WW2 smokes WW1. You will be amazed. ^^

byw, If you are thinking of getting the upgrade, get it before the sale ends and the price goes up!  It could happen sooner than you think! ^^;;;

well, I wasn't born until '57, so I missed all that..;) It does tickle my fancy that the 2 packages are named after a war and a transvestite...;) irony is pretty ironic sometimes, isn't it?...;)

ok...thanks!! :)

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Sat, 15 December 2007 at 5:06 AM

Sale is over early on Monday. The upgrade is well worth getting. There's much less mesh distortion. Round buttons stay round.

Elfwine ( ) posted Sat, 15 December 2007 at 5:33 PM

At CP's site WW is listed as version 2.0, but from another thread I read its up to (version 2.15, I think). If I purchase it from CP's web site, is WW already updated?, Or do I need to go to Phil's site to D/L the updated files? Phil, looks like you've got a hit with this product. Congratulations and well done!

The current download from CP is ver 2.15 The Standalone version is slightly confusing. When you use Help|Version the program version is just scrolled out of sight by the other info.

vince3 ( ) posted Mon, 17 December 2007 at 4:03 AM

hey no fair!!

you went and did the war gag right at the beginning, now i have nothing to say now,

(was gonna say- "yeah we won"- or some other hilarious  bitta banter)

vince3 ( ) posted Mon, 17 December 2007 at 4:07 AM

now i see pakled did that one,

this is just so embarassing now, i wish i'd never come into this thread now!

there was even a WW1 reference,

-note to self-

less mince pies, and more getting the gag in before everyone else

Elfwine ( ) posted Mon, 17 December 2007 at 11:36 AM

Well vince3, you could still always come up with something pithy and funny about WW3. And don't quote Einstein, he was talking about WW4.
