Just remember that if you model your own clothes, only carrara can rig of those apps that you have.and that rig can not be used in DS.You could use a doner Cr2 for tye new clothes but you couldn't adjust the joint parameters, you would need a version of poser, so you will get pokethrough and the bends might not be quite right.
Making morphs in Hex can be easy or a pain in the you know what, depending on what version your using and if your importing already made content or modeling it yourself. If your using Hex 2.1 then you will have no problems. Just model or import and create your morph and export out.
If your using Hex 2.2, well,.... If your modeling your own clothes make sure you have saved an original version in Hex format, I believe this will save you the, " vert out of order," problem. If you want to import already made content to morph, you will need to use a work around, go and get UVMapper Classic. It's the free version and can do what you need to resolve the, "vert out of order," problem. You will need to run the content through UVMapper and save the UV order. Then you can import into Hex 2.2 do your thing and then export out and then you will need to apply the save UV order back to the morphed content. If you don't do that, your morphs will not load or work.
You might want to take a look at my Hex clothing tutorial. It will show you how to make a manikin to model around and give easy reference to groups, which you need for the clothes to work and also the inport/export scales you will need and you might learn a bit of modeling too.
I don't know what your bee is about poser, but if your going to create your own stuff, your going to need a copy or be very limited in what you can use your stuff in. You could get a copy of P5 for less than a couple of DS plugs that I see and then you can rig your stuff to be used in DS/Carrara/Poser/ and pretty much every other big app. Besides getting the Walk designer, dynamic cloth which is a big help in morphing clothes to get natural movement, and more. Just think of Poser as a tool, even the content creaters at Daz need to use it or you wouldn't have the content you want to morph.
Good luck.
