One thing to remember is that DAZ only recently aquired Carrara. D/S was developed almost exclusively to use the POSER file format (which was refined by another company). Carrara already had a format that included it's own rigging system before DAZ aquired it. The ability to read Poser format files has only been added with this upgrade. Give them a little more time and I'm sure you will see all of the DAZ owned software become, at least, cross compatable, if not a total merging of the 3 majoor porgrams.
As it stands, however, there are limited options for rigging clothing for POSER without Poser. You CAN purchase a program like Autogroup Editor which will allow you to create poser type body parts in your created clothing (UVMapper is another alternative to this) and i use an application in the Poser Tools Collection to transfer basic CR2 files from similar clothing types. Something like this would give you LIMITED ability to add Poser rigging to models you create. However the one function that Poser has that I know of no other program to perform, is the ability to modify Joint Parameters, so you;re rigging may or may not work very well.
