I only started using it this morning - and Vue has definitely won me over for doing large-scale landscapes. I'll never totally give up Bryce - just too familiar and I've been able to integrate my entire content library into it and really getting into it with the new version of Daz Studio. But I've recently become addicted to creating large scenes with detailed vegetation after getting into the Elder Scrolls Oblivion game on PS3 and seeing SpeedTree and its tools in action. :)
I've been wanting to do animation with realistic blowing grass and trees like that for a long time. I work a lot in the Unreal Engine and was thinking of trying to do it using Machinima methods - but then I found out how much the SpeedTree suite license was. Ouch. Great program though.
But Vue's a LOT cheaper than SpeedTree! :D
