*still on the fantasy level, like fingerless gloves

*actually fingerless gloves are not fantasy items at all... in the UK they are used a lot by market sellers, warehouse workers etc - anywhere you need to keep your hands warm but need to be able to do things like open bags, handle money etc. 

personally I wore them when I did my paperround as a kid... (and found the warmest gloves ever are when you have a pair of woolen full gloves with a pair of wool fingerless gloves over the top)
