Think so Antoine Most of us here in the forum has allready Carrara 1(.0.1) we are not interesstet when the same Pragram we allready have will be sold. It would be more interrest for us to know: Will there a new patch vor Carrara 1.0.1? When will we get it? Will it cost something? To gave us a patch is better vor us and for you. We can work bug free and you will sell more versions of Carrara 2. It's same like cars, when you have a car that runs for years without any problem, you sure will buy your next from the same manufactur, but from who you wil buy a new car, when your old one made endless troubles. geek
Additional stuff: Dear Dreamers! The title of my previous message about Carrara was perhaps a bit misleading. I was refering to the second release of Carrara called Carrara Studio. What we are shipping today is Carrara Studio not Carrara Studio 2! Carrara Studio 2 will come later. The rest of the message is totally true. Carrara Studio is much more than a bug fixed Carrara 1.0. It includes some very nice surprises... Happy rendering to all! Antoine Clappier
O.K. All people who didn't buy Carrara bevor will get a new, bug-free Carrara. Fine for them, they didn't get so much troubles like the rest who buys carrara bevor. But most here have Carrara allready. They wan't not buy the same product once again, the want a patch for the version they allready have. "New patch is avileable" - Thats we want to hear, not "Carrara Studio is avileable soon". Hope see a msg from you with news about the new patch we wait for. geek
Actually, Philip Staiger, of Eovia, indicated that Carrara Studio is the "Patch" and would be free to registered users and might be downloadable soon. The "patch" may be too large to download so a CD version may be the best way to distribute it however. How that happens I'm not sure. Does it just get mailed to registered users? To you have to request it? I don't know. Carrara Studio, for people who don't have Carrara, looks like it will be a "buyable" , CD version too. I might be wrong, but personal emails I've had with both Anotine and Philip would indicated this is what's going to happen.

Good news ! Especially for those who don't have Carrara yet ;) . Once again, Eovia's strategy isn't very clear ... By the way, i've seen they'll be at the Siggraph trade show (see the link ) . litstThanks cutcopypaste. I just did it and was wondering about the lack of an auto-reply. I will also assume that the "password", that they ask for is really the serial number. Hey Wyrwulf ! Small world ! LoL ! Carrara was supposed to be my first attempt into the modeling world. I mean hey, Megadesertions had so many great programs in their stable that there was no way I could go wrong with buying Carrara. The first time I attempted 2 boolean operations in a row and it crashed, I knew I had royally screwed up. Unfortunately, I am a hobbiest and not rich so I have had to wait patiently and hope for a patch or cheap upgrade. I cannot afford to buy a different modeler. I guess, in effect, that Megadesertions has signifigantly stunted my modeling. Probably would have had a great Jammie Lee Curtis lookalike model by now ! haha ! Well, I guess its back to making other peoples models posable in Poser ! Good to see ya !

Dear Dreamers! Final Golden Master of Carrara Studio has been released to manufacturing! The product should be in your hands within 10 to 14 days. Wait a minute: Carrara Studio!? Does this means that the new Carrara is more than the promised bug fixed / re-branded version? This is definitely a possibility... More news to come soon. Happy rendering to all! Antoine Clappier
