December Challenge - TRAVEL
Thanks, koosievantutte, for providing us with a fascinating challenge! I think everyone will be able to participate in this one. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
Let's run this until the last week of December, I will give you a day or so heads up and if anyone needs more time they can let me know. You may enter an existing work if you like, but we would prefer to see a new work created for this challenge... it IS a challenge after all! You may enter more than one work, but remember that in the voting, each entry will be judged separately. Please, please, please put titles on your entries, especially if you have more than one.
Let the challenge begin!!!

Great challenge theme koosievantutte! (and congrats). Here is an older image of mine, but a favorite because of the mulitlayered reflections. Airport Reflections

It looks like the holidays have taken up everyone's time this year. Still, we have some lovely images from a variety of backgrounds. It's now time to close the entries and let the voting begin! The voting will be in this thread, after this entry. You get to choose your 3 favorite entries, giving each of them 3, 2 or 1 points. Remember, you are choosing an entry, not an artist. If someone has posted more than one entry, you need to indicate which is your choice.
Your vote should look something like this:
Double - "Cross" - 3 points
Travelin - "On" - 2 points
Vaca - "Tion" - 1 point
Feel free to nominate Honorable Mentions or make comments.

I should have nipped in a couple of days ago, and reeeeeeally wish that I'd seen the diptyche/triptyche challenge. sigh. The holidays are extremely busy, and everything takes so much longer with a migraine. Oh, well. I can at least vote.
gunsan - tropical island (in the other thread) - 3 pts.
TwoPynts - airport reflections - 2 pts.
gunsan - crossings - 1 pt.
This is always a difficult month for challenges. Most of the software Forums are having their own contests and there are always a number of Renderosity contests as well, then add in the holidays, the long winter nights and the chimney that needs to be swept and that leaves very little free time. Let's hope for better participation next time. It was an interesting topic and had a lot of potential and the entries we got were all first rate. Thanks to all those that took part.
Here's the count:
In fifth place, with 1 point: TwoPynts' Stages
Tied for fourth place, with 3 points: TwoPynts' All Aboard and gunsan's Tropical Vacation
In third place with 6 points: koosievantutte's Hotel Room
In second place with 7 points: TwoPynts' Airport Reflections
In first place with 10 points: gunsan's Crossing
Everyone did a great job! Congratulations to gunsan. Gun, please choose a new challenge for a new year :)
I can't wait to see what's next.

first of all thanks to everybody who voted for my image and the congratulations, i'm honoured.
for this month theme i thought about travel, december does that to me every year. we are traveling in time, soon a new year, but for the theme i like to make it as broad as possible, so physical travel, mental travel, bags, trains, walking - in short everything that has to do with traveling somehow, it even gives room to abstract interpretations - stories of course are just as welcome as any kind of images as this is the only 'all disciplines' forum.
have fun creating.
