I found a way to get a real crisp reflection in the eye, I just had to warp the reflection map. It may be laid out like UV and once you figure out where the regions are you can get a good reflection. The eye was easy (sort of) because it's a sphere, the answer was pretty simple. Probably the one sided square prop in front of your mirror with the mirror's color set to black, apply the reflection map to the one sided square only, making the color transparent min 0 max 100, the material color medium grey. Play with the hilight % and color. Any photo or render should work on the one sided square unlike most other shapes. Still it's only good for single renders, that is you have to set up a specific scene reflection. I'm finding it very interesting. The outdoor scenes I made my maps from seemed like they were general enough they might be good for multiple scenes.
