Very surprised and flattered that my post for the December Genre Challenge finished  as number 1!!

A special thank you for: “ Valerie-Ducom, danob, MrsLubner, Isha-NightWalker, jocko500” voting my photo to the first place!!

Congratulation for all the other winners, it was again a very interesting and excellent collection of photo’s, with a number of excellent black & whites!!

Thanks again, it is for me an excellent start for the New Year.

Henk

Thanks to all who voted. I am suprised and joyed to have a part of 2nd place.  Thanks so much. I know voting on this challenge is not easy.         TomDart.

Î would like to extend my congratulations to all the winners, but at the same time I would like to extend my congratulations to everyone who participated in this challenge, however many votes you received. Voting sure wasn't easy with all this many excellent photos. :-) I can only judge by myself, but the Urban/Cityscape genre presents some obvious motives and it was refreshing for me to see a lot of entires that broke some of the conventions that had been set by previous posts in this gallery category. This challenge sure made me think and I hope the same goes for everyone in future genre challenges. :-)

I encourage all who entered the challenge to upload the image to galleries. These images deserve a wider view.

Andreas makes a valid point.  Diversity is shown and the international scope of Renderosity make that even more appealing. It is always a delight to me to see the personal interpretations offered from the photographers who enter the challenges.         Tom.

Congratulations Henk, you really deserve this award and I will add another reason :
As I knew your holidays destination (but also your style and special eye, but that counts for everybody...), I was almost sure to recognize your entries (#28 and 29)...
So, I thought it was not fair to vote for a_best_friends'_picture...
(for all, Henk introduced me to RR nearly four years ago and in a way this changed my life, transforming a simple hobby in a great passion, and also giving me the opportunity to meet fantastic friends all over the world !)
(there is nothing more irritating here at Rendo to see average or even bad pictures receiving tons of comments, votes,... just by friendship ! people should use the site mail for that kind of stuf... just IMHO....)
But, I did select your picture #29  in my nominee's, just because it's a very good picture, demonstrating once more how good your eye is !
So, you can understand that I'm especially happy by your victory !
A very good start for 2008 my friend !
