Yes, but flash memory has a life in terms or write cycles. After 250,000 (not sure but that's the number that I seem to remember) it can fail.
Was just doing some reading, the high end SSDs can have up to 1,000, 000 write cycles per block and some interesting features to make them last better. Not as badf an issue as it used to be.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!
