You can also use fonts without installing them. But you have to open the font file and keep it open. It should then be listed when you click on the font list in what ever program. If you don't see it listed the click other and then you should see the font.
Nice way to do things if you just wanting to check out a font or will use it very little because you can keep these fonts in another no-install-font folder.
