Here's another cool one written by the author of CrazyBump, Ryan Clark. You can use this method to create displacement/heightmaps in your image editor from real-world objects using a camera, computer,and a light source. I'm using this method to make hyper detailed rock outcrops and overhangs using macros of petrified wood. I'll show some renders when I'm done.
