First, of course you need a program that can create the 3D mesh. The price for these range for many thousands of dollars to free. It just depends on what works for you and how deep a pocket you have. There are a ton of tutorials on the web for creating meshes so it might be worth your while to do some browsing to get an idea of what is available in your price range. OK, so you have a 3D model you now want to convert to Poser. If you're still on P3, go to the Meta site and download the Advanced Techniques .pdf. It is /was the bible for converting models to be pose able. In P4 most of the same info is now in the back section of the documentation. If it's P3 or P4 the process is still basically the same. Take a model and do the following: Slice it into parts and name the parts (models can also be set up as collections of pieces) Set up a hierarchy of parts for the model Feed the sliced model and hierarchy to P3/P4 Set up the joints for the pose able model This is a very broad overview but the essence is there. I have some tutorials on my site covering this area. They where origially for P3 but will work the same for P4. Some new tools where added to P4 that help make this process easier but there are still some bugs that need to be worked out. My site is at www.spiritone.com/~bushi
