I have seen them by different names.  Sugar beans or sugar peas, or snap beans/peas.  I like sugar snap peas, gets the whole name in ;-)    And you saute or stir fry them just til they are hot, and turn bright, so they are still crispy... mmmm.  One of my favorite things!
