It seems like everytime I do a cloth simulaion.... my nude figure also moves.

The more simimulations I do... the more stages my figure seems to move thur.

And when I SAVE the poser file... then reload... the cloth is reset to its orignial shape.
I have to move the frames bar to restore the saved cloth shape.

Can somebody explain?

The figure is supposed to move :)

The whole purpose behind the cloth room is to simulate the draping of the cloth around an object or figure so that it appears more natural.

If you are using 30 frames for the animation, you set the figure's pose at frame 15.

Then move the slider back to frame 1 and go to the cloth room.

Once you set up the cloth and run the simulation, the figure will gradually move into the pose that  you set and the cloth will follow along with the figure to simulate it having moved with the figure's movement.

The final frame of your animation shows the completed figure's pose along with the final draping of the cloth around that figure's pose.

When you save the .pz3 file and reopen it, the animation is automatically reset to 1.  But it is not deleted.  Move the animation dial all the way to the last frame in order to restore the final pose and cloth draping.

Acadia:

I am not at my computer right now. If one is not making an annimation, how do you delete the first 29 frames?

LMK: you don't delete those frames. You just render at frame 30.

Or, if you want to render in another app, you export the scene at frame 30. If using Vue (what I do for my renders) I import the .pz3 and tell Vue to only import frame 30.

That's all.

I take it... during cloth simulation, the simulation will start with the pose which the figure had when I LOADED it - thur whatever pose it had at the beginning of the simulation?

Thanks! - you answered another of my question - before I even asked.

I'm not sure what you mean. But here is a good work flow to follow  (Thanks to diolma)

Load your figure.

Go to frame whatever and pose. (Make the pose at the 1/2 way point of your frames. IE:  at frame 15 for a 30 frame animation.

Return to frame 1.

Load the clothing.

Enter cloth room.

Set up everything you think you'll need including clothifying the clothing

But before you run the simulation, SAVE!! I cannot stress this step enough. It'll save you hours of time in the long run....

Then run the simulation.  Your figure will gradually move into it's pose and so will the clothing. The pose and cloth draping will be done by the time it reaches your last frame IE: 30.

Go back to the pose room and do your still render at the last frame.  Of course you can move the animation slider to the left and render at whatever frame you like. Or you can render off each frame. Or you can save the whole thing as an animation.
