I remember that! :)
Alas I deleted all my bryce tuts, as I save tuts all the time...probably on a back up CD someplace.
basically you use a lens in front of the camera, to warp the ground/atmosphere into a gentle arc, giving a space-like effect.
In Vue, you can do a similar trick by altering the Camera's field of View.
I recall having a magnifying glass object in Bryce, that did exactly that: magnify as per real glass :)
And a telescope, isn't one or other a default bryce item?
