One way of looking at it is that you are already a customer , and they want to attract new people who may tend to buy more .

Renderosity I am sure appreciates you , loves you as a customer , and would give you a big warm hug and peck on the cheek , but its not allowed under US  rules for professional conduct in the workplace .
