What you can try is next.

To start, you can render in a separate process.

Go to: Edit, General preferences ---> in the pop up: Render, Separate Process.
Dont forget to check "Launch to preferred state" in the pop up.

Also a defrag of your hard drive seems to solve a lot of troubles.
Even if your comp say's you dont need to defrag.

I have also on occasion that poser go's AWAL.
Ususaly when I run more programs and Poser needs to do a lot of work, like rendering.
Personaly I think thats a memory isseu.
Usualy closing a few programs solves the problem.

Well maybe some others can add other idea's.
