Quote - To be brutaly honest.
My comp is 3 years old, 1 gig processor, 512 ram memory and 75 gig hard drive.
Poser runs as a sharm on it, Ok..slow sometimes, especialy on big renders.
But further nearly no crashes.
Only when I multitask to much during renders etc.And slow it is..lol
I made a big render this week, turned rendering on before I wend to bed and could see it finishing with my first sips of coffee in the morning :biggrin:But I admit, its getting time for a new one "sigh"
sometimes, I'm forced not use the really big materials like subsurface scattering or Ambient Occlusion (although I don't have many problems with that one) because during the rendering process, It get's down with the shadowing and on to the main rendering process, Poser would
just randomly shut down out of nowhere. It doesn;t even affect my computer and it would run fine. no error messages or anything. it ticks me off though because when I'm working like really hard on a character or a scene and that happens, I lose everything and it doesn't even save any of it. If I'm lucky, everything would be fine even with the hi res figures like Victoria or Michael.
one question, Would changing the size of texture maps help anything, like some of the texture maps are like 4000 x 5000 and are like 20 megs each (OUCH!) so would reducing the size to about half do anything?
