Anything that reduces memroy load or processing will help. Make sure you download and install the service releases!! Memory issues was one of the problems.

Your runtime(s) is all the installed content for poser on your computer.. characters, clothing, hair, poses, textures, everything. Some people have reported total runtime content over 300 gig! (It'll take you quite some time to get to that point though!)

Memory is VERY inexpensive right now.. find out what type is in your system, and then check pricewatch.com or newegg.com for pricing.. odds are you'll find $40 or so will quadruple what you currently have installed, and extend the life of your system a year or so based on your use.

Used memory is also an option (ebay)... typically it has a lifetime warranty, and older ram typically can't be used in newer systems.. I know I have a few gig just aying around here I took out of an older system I can't use in any of my machines.

Odds are you'll be fine on your hd for a few months, but you really need more ram. Even just Windows xp recommends 1 gig or more if I recall!
