but any scene that we view in the real world is subject to indirect lighting.  in C6Pro,
part of the GI settings are those for indirect lighting (the tendency of surfaces to pick
up the colours of adjoining surfaces as light rays are bounced along their paths) as
well as its inverse, ambient occlusion.  whilst studio lighting can exclude GI, even
there it is subject to indirect lighting, unless all surfaces absorb all light rays hitting
them, which is extremely rare in the real world.
