hi guys im having some trouble getting a puddle o water to be reflective.

i have seen people use a black and white image to show where on a material will be effected by a node (reflect, bump etc.) but is there a specific node combination that allows poser to see a black and white image as just a mask and not a texture. i keep geting a black and white sufrace that is all reflective.

hope my explanation was enough.

thanks for your help.

Yes.  Set your Reflection_Value to 1 and plug your black and white image in there.  That will give you a reflective area where the white parts are, non reflective where the black parts are.

Set up the rest of your materials as you would do normally.

Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
