In the upper right between the " - " and the " X " there is another icon. To get your browser to stay full centred and not move, click it and you should see what looks like 2 computer screens. That means the browser window is now stationary.
If you want to resize your browser window, you click on it again until you aget a single computer screen icon. Then you can resize it by putting your mouse cursor on the right side of the window, or in the lower right corner of the window. Once you see a double arrow <-----> that is the indication that you can left click and drag.

Acadia thanks, but...I've tired resizing and moving it using the method you described. But every time I close out of the window and open it back up, it's all messed up again. I can't get it to lock into the size/position I want. :(

Okay, it looks like this isn't just an internet browser problem...
About 1/4 - 1/2 inch of my screen (on the right hand side) is cut off in Poser, Paint Shop Pro and World of Warcraft. I've got a brand new monitor (acer P241W LCD 24") that I hooked up yesterday, which is when I started having this problem. I've been all through the monitor menu options and can't for the life of me figure out how to fix this!
Please, please...someone help me! cries

Just a silly question, did you change your display setting to match the new monitor? You know, 1680 X 1050 or what ever the sttings should be for the monitor.. Or, click on the top of the window and slide it over so you can see the edge that's missing and then click on that edge and move it towards the center, then move your main window back and adjust the side to fit.

Programs like Internet Explorer will open to the same size and placement as they were when they were closed. The gotcha is that clicking the X in the upper right corner of the application does not officially close the program. That just exits the application quickly.
*If you want Internet Explore to open full-size when you start it up, you must first start IE. Then maximize the window. Now click File, then Close. Now restart IE, and it should start up in a full-sized window. If half of the window is off the screen when you start a program, bring the window to the location you want and then click File and then Close, and it will re-open in this position the next time

Thanks so much for the replies guys.
I actually got desperate and started fiddling with all the monitor menu settings (even the ones that I had no clue what they were for - lol!) and I happened to hit on the right one. Some kind of auto adjust thing. It fixed the problem right up...net browser, Poser, PSP, WoW...everything!
Phew! big sigh of relief

Ahhh! That was important information to know :)
Glad you managed to get it working :)

Thanks Acadia...me too! You have no idea! I was working myself up to a mild stroke. LOL!
Sorry I didn't include that info to begin with. I just didn't even think of it...I've never had this problem before when switching monitors. I just thought I had accidentally clicked something while browsing the net. But I guess it has to do with the monitor being a widescreen (I've never had one of these before).
Anyway...crisis diverted...blood pressure dropping. Hehe.

Hi all.
I'm having a problem that's driving me absolutely nuts! Every time I open a new window in my browser, it's either too big (the red X is off the screen) or the whole thing has shifted to the right and I have to drag it back into position. I've tried resizing and moving, but every time I close it out and open a new one, it's messed up again. I've tried Googling for help but haven't been able to find any info.
Can anyone help me please?!
TIA!
Ney
