OK thanks all for your replies. I'm not that new to modeling. I use to write modeling software but that was in the age of 2D with modems at 1200 bps.

At the moment I use Carrara 6 & Hexagon to create for Poser. I own these three. 

I have downloaded all the free software mentioned and giving them a try. 
I downloaded modo in January but tried it only once before it expired. 

I could probably get modo at the educational price as I am a teacher. 
Is there any way to get Cinema 4D at discount? Are there sales on that software? 

At the moment I'm mainly studying these software and creating for fun. I may try to make $$ from this in about a year or two
