I was thinking the same about bricks and chewing gum, could it be a brick and chewing gum wall?

I wonder why convert to B&W, would the colour give it away?  and being in focus give it away?

I don't think it's buttons on a keypad or mobile phone, it's too uneven to be steps or is it?
