but what you said about using the random terrains or otherwise greebled city blocks in the background, with more detailed stuff along the camera's route for close-up's is definitely the way to go.
In my opinion anyway.
I'm currently trying to greeble up a tower - using wings so I have some control over it, but I'm still not totally happy with the result yet.
I've had to remake the tower in Wings, since exporting the Bryce-made tower reverses loads of normals making it unusable in anything but Bryce, and I need the control of Wings for the detailing.
I wish Daz would sort out that 'feature' of Bryce's exporter - cos it's a total pain in the doodahs.
