SOS:

I want to create a realistic animation with lipsync for 2 male figures. Problem is, I can't find figures which can do this. Consider:

1. ApolloMax is superb with fabulous MATs like The General and Captain Quint.  BUT...

2. Apollo is incompatible with BVH files, due to shoulder geometry which is different from normal Poser figures.

So....

1. Can any brilliant Python programmer fix BVH files to work with Apollo, OR

2. Are there any face textures for M3, David or James which come close to the quality of realism of the Apollo textures? I really can't find any.

3. Am I the only guy on the planet who wants to do photorealistic lipsync with motions?

Any info gratefully received.

PS: I don't know whether Apollo works with Mimic, so that's another consideration to drive me to drink.

Hi, the captain exists for M3 as well, also, you might want to check out the realistic skin shaders for various male figures sold here at Renderosity. These shaders will put in some added realism which is what I think your talking about.

Other than AM, the only male figure with particularly good textures, of which I am aware, is G2 Koji.

not sure if this might suit your needs or not, but it does look okay imo and is currently on sale for a pretty decent price ;)

I will agree, though that really outstanding textures for M3 are hard to find.  I own Jose, Dean and The Captain, and they rank about the best I've seen.

There was talk of a texture convertor for Apollo but I think Anton has been a too busy of late to get it underway, shame really as there are lots of good textures out there that would look even better on Apollo.

I'll second Santel's recommendation for SkinVue (at www.cornucopia3d.com ).   It is for Vue 6 Infinite and xStream only, though, not the basic Esprit.

I do have SkinVue and it's awesome. What I need is a realistic texture, and then enhance it with SV.

I'm currently playing with a texture called Dean for M3.
