One of the renderosity members ran into a major problem with SLI: you can't use multiple monitors. In short - save yourself the money and the hassle.

As for WinXP64 and Poser 7: runs fine and fast, no trouble at all. Poser will use no more than 4 cores, and that only in the main rendering phase (after shadow map calculations and object/texture loading). If your scenes are computationally heavy (complex raytraced reflections, blurred raytraced shadows), 4 cores will have a significant impact on render time vs. 2 cores. More than 4 cores is not needed.

Poser 7 will not use more than 4 GB of address space.

More than 4 cores only means that other processes will not be slowed down by Poser. You will not see any difference in render times for Poser itself.

I just built myself a new system:

For Poser 7 and Vue 6 Infinite, this machine ROCKS.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
