When I had *'friends' *I had more comments, but since I got rid of them to see how many comments I gained just Because the work was good and not influenced by commenting on others unless it was something I though was worth commenting on.... but now I don't get many comments. So either my art is 'ordinary and uninteresting' or it's because I have chosen not to have 'friends' (well I do have a few but thats only because I like their art so much I want to keep track of any new uploads.

But I must admit a lot of fine art gets swamped in the galleries and only if you have a certain artist flagged to alert you on a new upload will you get to see it unless you have time to spare trawling through all those Quick poser renders LOL to find the decent stuff..... (I do believe there are excellent Poser renders, but of course these can be few and far between.

A rule of thumb I guess is that what an artist believes is good is not always reflected by the viewer....... and this is where friends come into play... usually they'll give a good comment just to receive a good comment on their own work, regardless of how good the art is.... I see this so many times and wonder if it's actually worth looking forward to comments anymore.

Bottom line is.... I refuse to comment on other peoples work in order to recieve comments... it kinda defeats the object; doesn't it?
