A little late in this thread, but I agree with TheBryster!!!

I've noticed that the volume of comments varied depending on the time of day I've posted something...which also is effected on how long you're artwork stays on the front page of the gallery before it gets cycled off to the next page by other new artwork being posted.

Now if people who've seen you're work and Like it and flag it.. than they will get a notice when you post a new image.  There are several artists here who's art I really enjoy and so everytime they post I get a notice in my e-mail.  So I  dont necessarily have to browse the gallerys all the time.
