I subscribe to kiwi's school of thought. If people want to tell me what they think of my work, I am more than grateful, if not it doesn't matter. As for commenting... It depends how I feel. I very rarely offer critique as in most instances I do not feel qualified to do so, but if I really like an image I'll let the artist know. @pakled - Looking at my own gallery the other day, I noticed I use black alot. Nice warm fuzzy black.
