DAZ and the Poser developement team have folks who (carefully) read all the major forums related to their products. You can bet they have people reading each others forums. They would be fools to ignore what is going on in the forums.

Things got nasty during the pre-release marketing of Poser 7 (in part because E-F/CP was inflexible in their response to their consumer base), and the blunders in the release of V4.2 did not create warm fuzzy responses to DAZ's efforts. Once bitten twice shy.

Those who try to say what they can are often attacked. I agree that the negativity, which is really a symptom of customer anxiety and frustration, puts off developers from being more open and informative. Thus, creating more anxiety, frustration and negativity. It is a vicious cycle where the operative word is often "vicious."
