That would depend on the type of scene. I don't do still images anymore. I do animations so it takes longer to setup and render out. I make my own backgrounds using props and use the Poser figures and not the Daz ones because they are nice and light weight for animations.
For a simple still image for me, it takes roughly an hour or so to setup. Never any longer than that. I don't bog down my scenes or renderout very large images these days.
For rendering speed, under 20 minutes.
Never very long in Poser.
Then again, I do it for fun. I use low res figures so it renders out even faster for the animation.
I learned a long time ago, less is more in Poser.
