If a prop is an obj file, or 3ds file you have to import it using the File..import menu. Once you've imported the object you then have to save it as a Poser prop by using the pull out thingy at the right hand side of the screen using the + button. Next time you want it, it will be there. With the character files have you actually checked to see if the files really are in libraries/characters/YourDirectoryName or whatever? It sounds to me as if you think you are putting the files there but they are actually ending up somewhere else, as in my other post above. Maz
