I also think we will see more if these kinds of issues as the demand for faster networks raises. Since I am in Finland ( Åland) My provider routes via Estonia then down thru europe, so this is why it works for me ( for now) .

If daz wanted to they could move the site and domain to a german based server, provided they have a current connection to the US server, if I where them I'd make a mirror copy ASAP , redirect the domain to a local server in europe, this crap might take forever to resolve.
