Wow! Now that is... amazingly fast! Whoa! And seriously cool. In my tests, it almost looks like it doesn't need any octree regions. Of course, I haven't tried thousands of verts against thousands of polys yet....
I'll see if I can add my altered normals to the process. It might be neat to have the option for spherical, cylindrical, box, capsule, and planar normals-casting for this. (The only trouble being that my capsule type is really a major hack....)
