Just one comment on this, to note that whether you 'add' or 'subtract' that local->world delta from the hit point delta depends on whether you do:
localvert - worldvert
or
worldvert - localvert
...I only mention this because my earlier post suggested 'subtraction' but my example in the script uses 'addition' :). It's more of a mindset/semantics thing... whether you think in terms of "removing that deformation influence from the delta" vs "effectively pre-transforming the vertex into position before applying the delta".... so just use whichever you're comfortable with (until/unless it gets fixed for you in the .pyd function).
