That's twice today you've mentioned No-Poke, unless the reference in your recent readme was from yesterday.  Hmm.  Someone should use this .pyd to... write a no-poke routine!  Hmm.  And it certainly looks like easy code to utilize....  An alternate function for the sample script, perhaps....
