...you could also do a "shape_preserving_refit" routine... that would find the minimum shrink value (or maximum inflate value - which would have precedence over the min shrink value) and just apply that (plus a fit_tolerance) to all the verts.  That could scale a pair of jeans up to fit some other figure, or if overall too large, down to fit some other figure.
