Well personally I use Rem's quite a lot!
I inject a character and then I might change my mind and realize that the character isn't right for the scene so I'll use Rem to go back to default before Inj another more suitable character!

Hide channels I also find useful, Xurge has them with his outfits and they're a lot quicker to use than going into the Hierarchy editor to do the same thing!

So short answer for me is "Yes they are"
