I just got one a month ago and I saw one advertised for 450 (with rebate).. It has a couple of quirks though. 1. Pictures turn out a bit darker what you see on the LCD. However, I think this is so you can see it better when out in bright sunshine. Easily fixed with software or improved by the onboard powersaver feature settings. 2. You have to be pretty still when taking shots, even in automatic mode. 3. Sometimes it doesn't focus well on macro shots. If you zoom out all the way, focus, and then zoom back in.. its fine. 4. Some people say the pictures are a little soft. 5. You have to buy an adapter (if you can find it) for the additional lenses. I also read somewhere that the 2x telephoto lens attatchment is only satisfactory at maximum zoom. 6. You have to take it off the tripod to change batteries and the disk.
